Processing Masonry

SL-QUADRO E

SL-QUADRO E is laid with the help of a special masonry crane. Two bricks are hoisted at a single stroke with the brick gripper and set in place tightly. The system of interlocking profiles on the face of the bricks keeps them perfectly aligned. The masonry is laid in a bond pattern with a minimum bond spacing of 12.5 cm. Where practical, however, an overlap length of half a brick is recommended.

Adjusting the plumb of the masonry wall using shims or wedges after it is finished is not permissible. This could cause cracks in the horizontal bed joints and ultimately reduce the strength of the bond between the bricks and the mortar.

The openings at the top of the wall must be closed in order to prevent mortar or concrete from running into the grooves.
