SL-QUADRO E brick is laid using thin-bed mortar, which is included in the scope of delivery in the form of drymix mortar. The drymix is prepared onsite with tempering water in the quantities stipulated by the manufacturer. It must be utilized within the designated time limit for workability, using the type of notched tool indicated on the bag of mortar.
The thin-bed mortar is applied using a mortar sledge after the masonry has been swept clean and possibly wetted down in advance. The joint thickness in the completed masonry should be a full 2 mm, which means an application of a layer of fresh mortar that is 3 to 4 mm thick.
So that the wiring channels are actually stacked directly above one another, they are aligned with centering bolts installed after the mortar is applied.
