Setting up the Construction Site
The proper design of the workplace is a pre-requisite for the efficient execution of work.
The masons must have an adequate amount of space in which they can work. The ideal amount of space is approx. 1.20 m between materials and the wall being built. Larger distances can cause extreme physical strain and increase the time for swiveling the equipment. Smaller distances constrict the range of movement and impede the placing of scaffolding.
In mechanized processing, the masonry lift is best placed parallel to the wall.
The shortest work shifts can be achieved if the package of blocks is placed between the masonry lift and the bricklayer. This prevents unnecessary swiveling. The space between the lift and the wall should not exceed the crane radius of 5 meters.
